Going through some files from a few years back and finding some I have, and some I have not processed before - always fun to discover hidden images that for one reason or another didn't make the cut.

African White Crowned Plover in habitat.

Lower Zambezi, Zambia.

EOS 10D. Canon 500F4.  ISO200. F7.1

Not easy to get a low view of these beauties as they like to paddle about in the shallows and mud down under the river bank along the edge of the river.

I do go through my old files time to time. Great find of this cool looking bird and an excellent image of it, Carol.

Great perspective and nice native habitat, Carol. This bird is a first for me, and I’m struck by the yellow parts hanging down over the base of the bill. Beautiful image.
