Exquisite detail, nice pose and stump. Really fine image.
She is in a kind of odd and awkward position; I might consider rotating the stump and bird to a more vertical pose for esthetics.

I really like the back view, because we normally don’t see it much in the wild. But the head turn is what makes the image for me. Great detail and background also. Beautiful shot, Karl.

Thanks Sandy. I rotated the image and it looks better now.
I also looked at the original and the platform I put this perch on, 
was roughly horizontal.

Terrific image of a beautiful bird. The great detail and eye contact really make this photo. I love these little guys and gals, that is until they start hammering the wall outside my bedroom! Hopefully, the nest-boxes we're putting up solve that problem. :D

It may do so in a way you don’t intend; they love demolishing our duck and owl boxes!
