I really like the framing with the Hairy looking through the negative space in the image, Leigh. As Dave notes, the exposure of the whites is right on. Very nice image of this male Hairy Woodpecker.

Nice to get the Hairy. They are not as friendly as the little guys.

Cute little woodpecker. I rarely see Hairy woodpecker, but we get plenty Downy woodpecker (very similar).
