Barn owl hunting

Although I'm a Canon user I bought a OMD MKII and 300f4 pro mainly for the silent shutter .
I have to say it really does help as it does not scare the birds like my 1DX MKII even with a 600f4 mkII this bird would have well gone owing to the shutter sound it flew passed me 3 times
This was 1/1000 at f4 iso 800

Excellent composition using the vertical format and capturing the owl looking down and through the negative space in the frame.The lighting and detail are top-notch. Beautiful work!

Great shot Rob. Being a barn owl enthusiast and having chased them for a few yew years with some success I am jealous of the pose you captured here! My hat is off to you.

Yes Bob it has taken many years for this pose to show up close enough to get some detail .
