Blue Throated Barbet making nest -
This Blue Throated Barbet is making a hole in a dead palm tree – almost behaving like a woodpecker. This behavior drew my interest and I tried to portray it through this shot.

(Nikon D500, 500F4 G ED VR, 1.4 TCIII) Exposure Time – 1/800, FNumber – 5.6, ISO – 800.

I appreciate all critiques.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR VIEWING & INPUTS.

Exquisite image!!!
Everything is perfect - colours, perspective, action, detail..
My only possible suggestion is it might be even better if the bird was moved down just a bit.
Congrats on an amazing image that is surely contest-worthy.

Thanks a ton, Sandy. I made a mistake while shooting this. I should have done it in a vertical mode. As I was shooting in the horizontal mode, there is no more space at the bottom. In this case, a vertical framing could have been done - but I miscalculated while shooting the subject.
Thanks again for the input.
with warm regards,
Somdeb
