Beautiful perch shot . I love the wing spread, cactus and the blooming pink color (Thistle ??).

Ludo, This is purple colored Thistle.  It might look a little out of place, but purple Thistle grows around and among the cactus.  And, I like the color.

Gene, just about perfect!
Great pose and pleasing wing position, fine detail, great colours, and the pink flowers add a lot.
The only thought I have is whether blurring and burning the BG a bit would make the bird "pop" even more.

Sandy, Good thought about the BG in an attempt to make the bird stand out more that I did not think of.   I'll play around with it.  Thanks.

I like the perch set up, the cacti and the flowers are very complimentary, I wish the eye catchlight was more evident. Thank for sharing.
