This Antpitta which was just recently discovered ( Corrected 1997 ) This is a very localized bird found only in Southern Ecuador - one of my main target birds for this last trip. As talked about before the Antpittas were rarely seen until Angel Paz learned how to get these types of birds to come out for worms - now many people have trained these birds to show themselves including this one which allows chance not only to see them but to get up close and personnel photos. This bird stands at over 7" tall - This was shot as vertical (only minor cropping) with D850, 400mm f/2.8 1600 ISO 1/60 sec at f/5.6 - No flash is allowed at any of the bird feeding sites
