Nice shot Jeff. I like the dark mood. When I shoot owls I always like the first and last 20-30min of the light. It does create different mood.

Wonderful lighting, Jeff. As Ludo notes, the "mood" it creates is very special. I love how the vivid color almost glows in the late evening light. Excellent image!

Another vote for the special qualities of the 'twilight' time Jeff, it freally does appear to make this yellow throat glow in the dark!

Gorgeous - the yellows are simply glowing.
Fine detail, nice pose, and the mossy branch with the grass is perfect.
