Shot yesterday late afternoon. I was shooting ducks at the edge of the canal covered with camo net and this Northern Harrier female zoomed by at the other side of the canal.

1D4, SIGMA 500mm f/4.5 EX DG HSM
1/2000, ISO-640, f/8 on tripod lowered to the ground, camo net used.

Fantastic shot, Ludo. Impeccable detail, attractive flight pose, and excellent eye contact. A little more space at the top would be nice if you have it, but overall this is a wonderful capture. Congrats.

Excellent flight shot, Ludo. Perfect shooting angle, head turn and great details. I would sharpen the beak only using the little sharpening in tool in P. Shop CS5 or 6 if it were mine.
I wish it would be.
