Shot in February 2017 afternoon. Owl  flew by really close even for 300mm lens. This is FF shot with no cropping.

1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/3200, ISO-200, f/2.8, handheld.

I really like this, Ludo! Yes, the wing tip is clipped, but the remainder off the image is breathtaking. Maintaining the sharp eye is critical, and the background complements the owl beautifully. Very well done!
