Hey,

Australia has quite an interesting range of pigeons and doves. Here's an image of two rather large ones :)
They can be really skittish, but I set up over a few weeks and got a bunch of shots in the end.

Australian doves just mesmerize me.. they are so so colorful and Jan you capture them in the best way possible by humans..

Nice work on what is a very skittish bird, looks better if you click for the darker BG. I'd be at a loss too think how you could convince them to come in and pose.

It took a while, but a handful of bird seed for weeks made them more accommodating. :)

What a shot. I would never guess that pigeons can be so colorful. I would frame this shot for sure.
