I don't even know where to start. I feel blessed to be able to spend many many hours with this young male from the day it was hatched , the day when he and his sister jumped out of the nest, all the way to adulthood.
In this shot I came to the little bridge over narrow canal where young owls and sometimes parents like to hang around. I think they were using this bridge as feeding platform where parents would bring food.
When I approached this fella, it didn't even pay attention to me. It was staring down below to water. There were some splashing noises.
I assume it was otter or muskrat , common in these waters.
Owl was almost like dancing, transferring weight from left to right foot back and forth and head bobbing up and down and sideways.
It was so cute, I had to restrain myself not to laugh.
After the splashing in the water stopped, owl finally realized I was there and turned around and walked slowly towards me, not afraid, just curious. After watching me for a while, it then turned around went back were it was earlier and just watching everything around.
Same time I quietly backed off and walked away. Later on I regretted not to take a video of the owl's dancing :-)

Very cool image Ludo. I assume you have noticed that the very strong winds we have had this winter have caused significant damage to the nest such that I doubt they will be able to use it this spring. Hopefully they will find another nest to take over that is not far from this territory. It was fun photographing them and watching the youngster grow.
