Amazing shot Karl. I love the framing and the moss and lichen (Cladonia?). The sharpness is incredible. Must see larger view (click).

I think these are wonderful little birds. All the technicals in this shot are exactly where they should be – perfection. Love the moss on the perch and the detail throughout the image. Excellent work, Karl.

Nice pose and perch. Good DOF and soft light. Like that you captured the underside coloration which does not show in a lot of images.
