It's always fascinating to see birds from other countries and notice how similar they are to our birds. Beautiful Woodpecker. Maybe a little bit of noise reduction might help the background. Well done.

A great look at this woodpecker Monique, a lower shutter speed and iso would have helped reduce the noise.

Lovely detail in this woodpecker, Monique. And I agree with Lana about the similarity between species across continents. Some good suggestions made above.
