Moss frames this guy perfectly. I add a bit of light on his face to draw a bit more attention there.

Such a nice setting that I would like to see more of it around the bird.

I'm going back on Thursday Alan - I'll see what I can do.  Thanks,
Jake

Jake, Great details.  The moss adds a lot.

The moss, with its detail, is a beautiful complement to the owl, Jake. And the detail in the owl itself also is very good. Pretty steep shooting angle, but overall I like it very much.

Thanks Ron.  The owl is high up in a very old oak tree that is covered with moss- tough to get a clear shot.  The owlet is just starting to peek out of the fork in the tree so hopefully I'll have some shots of him soon.
