Shot few days ago. I found this wren jumping and running around the pile off dead wood on the forest floor. I had to wait for a while for the wren to pop out the pile in the open. I only had a split second since this little guy was  very active and constantly moving.
There was a very little light so I had to crank up ISO 2000.

1D4, SIGMA EX DG HSM 500mm f/4.5
1/160, ISO-2000, f/6.3, tripod used.

Please click on the image for uncompressed view, thank you.

I love wrens but they can be difficult subjects. I love that you include some habitat......gives me a sense of where he lives. Nice job getting him up and in view.....and getting the shot with the short time you had.

Nicely done to get such a good view of this busy little bird in the low light, Ludo!

Yeah, these guys are really tough - small and fast. Bird looks pretty good considering how little light you had.

Very nice. Eye contact would improve the image.

These wrens are difficult to shoot, and you have done a very good job here, Ludo. Great natural perch, lovely background, and nice detail. A little head turn towards the camera would have been nice, but overall a very good photograph.
