Another lifer from Bosque a couple of years ago. He worked the edge of the front pond at the refuge so I just waited until evening and slowly followed him up and back on an evening with good light.
I'm finding that my images don't look sharp but look much better at the enlarged size. Canon 1DX, 500mm II, 1.4X TC, beanbag ISO 400, f/8, 1/1250 Lana Hays
