A first for me, so thanks for sharing this one, Monique. A difficult shot up into the bright canopy, but the detail in the owl and the look-back pose are excellent.

Thanks Ron. It was not an easy situation. The light was bright, the angle difficult and I was restricted to taking the photo out of the car window. Luckily the owl co-operated by standing still and looking at me!

Interesting looking owl, especially the eyelids. Are the white feathers normal for this owl? I once shot a great gray owl with a lone white feather on its wing shield.

Those eyes are so intriguing. The look-back position shows those eyes and gives us a nice at the beautiful feathers. Well done.

Interesting owl. It is nice to see different species of owls from other parts of the world.Very unique face. Tanks for sharing it.

Good pose. A bit tight in the frame so he could use a bit more breathing room if you've got the canvas.
