Snowy Owl - darker immature

One of the darkest plumage snowy owls that I've seen, taken last night. It should be noted that baiting is not practiced. First outing with new lens received - 2nd version of Canon 500mm F4 IS.

Wonderful shot of this Snowy flying low over the snow! Love the wing position just above the snow. And the darker plumage makes the owl stand out so well against the snow background. Excellent.
