Great close-up with excellent feather detail and exposure. Love the snowy environment too.

What a lovely bird Karl. I like the fine graduations of the orange toned feathers as they splash down the back.

I love seeing these guys in the winter against the snow. Great detail.....and I can see his "horns"....the little devil. Well done.

The very first thing I do when viewing one of your images is to click on the image and examine it in large view. The reason is to check for detail. And I don't ever remember being disappointed. This fine image is no exception, Karl. Great detail. Plus, I feel the snow makes a wonderful setting for your image!

Beautiful image Karl! Details are very nice and Dynamic Range of the image is fantastic. Not an easy job when you dealing with with feathers and snow.

Great shot Karl, the snow makes a great reflector to perfectly light up the facial patterns!
