Small Pratincole in flight -
PLEASE view in dark background (click on the image)
The Shot was taken on a winter afternoon near Siliguri, West Bengal, January 2018. These bullets flew in a seemingly arbitrary manner on the surface of River Mahananda but once you get accustomed to their flying patterns – they provide a never-ending photo session.
(Nikon D500, 500 f4 VR2) Shutter–1/3200, F—6.3, ISO—640;
I APPRECIATE CRITICISMS. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR VIEWING & INPUTS.

The wing tip touching the water is wonderful. Very fine image!

Very well timed click with great reflex to catch the right moment when the wing tip touches the water(one need thousands of shutter cycle to get one) and top view in sweet light,would have been more fruitful to show the effect if the water was still though its beyond your hand.But the colour saturation and contrast applied is bit excessive to my taste,also note you do not need to sharpen any more to an already detailed and sharp image...very well done.

Really nice image with a great pose. I like the wingtip just touching the water.

Thanks a lot - really a lot - for your detailed input. I was sure - I was messing up something during post Processing. Its really helps when someone points them out. This color adjustment part of sunrise and sunset/ late afternoon shots is giving me countless sleepless nights - also the removal of color casts. As I have not the chance to delete the shot from the forum - I WILL REPROCESS IT AGAIN.
Thanks a ton again.
with regards,
Somdeb
