Shot February 2017. This young guy landed right next to me , very close. Owl was so friendly and it allowed me to get so many good shots over the 6 month period. I really miss this guy.

1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/2000, ISO-640, f/2.8, handheld.

Great details and nice to see the legs. I also miss them. Haven't seen one for at least five years.

A handsome portrait, Ludo. Such a great subject in natural habitat. I like that you caught the owl peering across and through the frame – sweet composition!
