I did a setup, one for woodpeckers one for songbirds at a spot being visited by a few nice birds. Unfortunately it takes longer for them to get used to those nice perches. This perch was not part of the setup. :(

Lol - I was doing the same thing today! I had a setup for woodpeckers and nuthatches. Lots around, but none seemed to like my perch. Ended up shooting the wild turkeys that were all over the place - picking up my droppings as I loaded my perches.
Lovely looking lady, Karl. Excellent colours and nice alert pose.
Cheers

Beautiful female Cardinal, Karl. Great color and background, and I love the raised crest. Excellent.

Karl, Like the detail.  Did you try putting some suet on your nice perch to help draw them to the location you want?  If you do not have a good suet recipe, let me know and I'll send you a copy of mine.

super shot Karl.. love the alert look and super details... (I've had some birds take a couple of weeks to take to new feeders/sets ups despite the neon signs, and advertising free grub boardings).

Well worth a click to see the exquisite detail on this beautiful girl! She may not have chosen the 'pretty' perch, Karl - but you got a wonderful shot here!
