A fine image of this Pileated Woodpecker – an attractive composition with the bird on the diagonal, and the tree makes a very natural appearing background. The fact you have captured the beginning of a hole being excavated definitely adds interest and tells the story nicely.

I also like the diagonal composition and the great detail. Just a minor suggestion is that it might be a bit tight. A little more room especially on the upper right would be nice. this is still excellent as presented.
