 The freezing temperature didn't stop some hardy souls from venturing out in search of subjects to photograph. Owls will make otherwise sensible people throw caution to the wind. It was all worth it as the owl put on a great show, landing on a number of roadside perches for some nice photos. With a small gathering of people standing around watching it, this short-eared owl seemed content to just sit on its perch for quite some time. Canon 7D MK2 and 500 f4 II. Handheld.
