Another shot from last February.  This shot was taken late afternoon with just  enough light left to shoot with wide open 300mm f/2.8.

1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/1600, ISO-1600, f/2.8 handheld.

Striking image, Ludo! Love how the background tones compliment the owl so nicely. Also, the diagonal pose of the owl works perfectly in the composition. Excellent!

One of your best shots Ludo. Clicking on it really makes it pop. The owl in the light band of the dark background really makes this image for me.

This is awesome! I think it's your best IF frame of this subject! love that eye. I might consider giving the bird a little more room in the frame but otherwise a solid capture!
