American Bittern

Shot yesterday. I almost missed this guy. When these Bitterns feels threatened, they raise their heads and don't move. They blend extremely well in Cattails. 
Bird was sitting in a deep channel with a little light so ISO-3200 was a must. This is my last posting in 2017. I wish everyone Happy New Year and only the best and most importantly stay healthy.

1D4, SIGMA 500m f/4.5 EX DG HSM
1/640, ISO-3200, f/5.6, handheld.
