I was fortunate, a few years ago,  to be invited to take some images of volunteers banding threatened goshawk chicks. It involved scaling tall, very dense trees with ropes (one can be seen on the left here)  and VERY unhappy chicks. They were caught, placed in a burlap bag, and lowered to the ground where they were examined, measured, weighed, banded, and a small blood sample taken, then hoisted back up and replaced in the Net - all within about 3 minutes.

In the next few days, I'll post images of the parents watching, nervously,  an adult being dive-bombed by a flycatcher, and the 2 grumpy chicks right after being returned to the nest.

I learned that even small goshawk chicks have a very adult-sized piercing screech when they are mad.

I also learned to climb an adjacent tree (in harness and ropes) to get these shots, which were 30 feet off the ground.

 Sorry, no exif info available.

Great story to go along with your photo Sandy. That's a very brave volunteer with his bare arms & hands!

+1 with Ron Day. Love the story implied in the frame too. Just great.
