The golden light on the water is beautiful and really makes the crest on the Grebe "pop." A very unique and original photograph.

Excellent silhouette capture of that distinctive outline and crest, Somdeb! Refreshingly different image and very nicely done.

This image works for me, probably because the bird is moving away in the photo. The golden glow and glitter bring this early morning image together, as the bird sails away into its element. Who could resist the fluffy head of a Grebe.

Thanks a ton. Actually, I foregrounded and included the golden water to create some kind of depth, positioned the crest at the center (experimented a little bit deviating from keeping an off-center) to focus interest in that, the bokeh for the ambiance, and pulled out some details from its neck to identify the Species.

Thanks a lot, everyone. Wish you all Merry Christmas and a very happy new year.

with regards,
Somdeb
