This handsome male shows up every year for a week or so to hunt dragonflies in the warmth of the late fall. He is very cooperative while he is actively hunting and lets us get pretty close.
I was lucky to be in a friends lifted truck as the higher angle gave us a nice green background to this shot. Hope you like him.
Happy holidays and a Merry Christmas to all.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input.  I appreciate it.

 Thanks Ron,
That light is our beautiful evening light about 30 minutes before sundown, which is one of my favorite times to shoot.

Isn't he gorgeous! Wonderful subject, plus action, plus dragonfly - and captured superbly by a great photographer. A winning combination in my book, David!
