Gadwall in the morning light.

(Nikon D500, 500 f4 VR2 & 1.4TCIII) Shutter – 1/400, F – 8.00, ISO – 200, Ebias - -0.33;

Nice alert pose and water color tops it, Somdeb!
I'd have shot this with a higher ISO setting, say 400 or higher, to get a reasonable fast ss to freeze the moving subject properly.

Thank you very much for the input.
Sir, I was too concerned about color depth in these shots. So I chose ISO 200. But as you say, IMHO my Nikon D500 can give good results in ISO 400/ 640/ 800. I will correct this habit of mine of keeping the ISO too low in future.

This handsome drake looks so proud of himself, a fine image Somdeb.

My go to ISO is typically 640 to 800 as I usually shoot early in the morning, even up to ISO-1000 with the D500, no issues with noise as long as you expose to the right of your meter. I always shoot in manual and adjust settings continuously as the light changes, no right or wrong way it is what you are ever comfortable with.
