Nice work getting the head illuminated, and good detail in the shadows.

This is a very nice flight shot with a pleasing background. It looked a little soft until I clicked on the image. Perhaps a little sharpening of the head area could be beneficial.

Beautiful image - great wing position, colours, and BG.
From here, both versions seem soft. A very large crop? Added sharpening or structure might help.
