Shasta County, Ca
These little guys are common locally in suitable habitat, but difficult to get out in the open.  7D2, 500/F4+1.4, F8, 1/500, ISO 800, tripod.  Thanks for any comments or suggestions, Dave

I like the head angle and angle tail very much. Agree getting one in the open with a nice background is super hard so very nice. Shooting them at such a low shutter speed is risky but you did well. I would move the bird a bit lower down and to the left.
