Belted Kingfisher

Leona Co, TX

D850, 300, ISO 1000, f7,1, 1/8000

In the 25 years I've been taking photographs of birds, these images of a diving Belted Kingfisher have been my most challenging. During the three years while working on this project, I managed to document the "behind the scenes" of how I got the images, which I will be sharing in my next newsletter. About as difficult as getting an image of a speeding bullet. Superb!

Wow, it won't get any better than this. What a shot. I agree Belted Kingfisher are very difficult to capture like this. Great job Alan.
