I think this is one of the most challenging ducks to get a good flight shot of.
That are fast, shifty and not that common in my area making them the premiere duck to capture. This was taken during our waterfowl workshop a few years ago. 
One of only a few good flight frames I have of a mature drake.

1DX---840mm---f5.6---ss1/4000th---ISO800---Handheld@8:15am---45% crop

It must be the reason that you virtually never see a BIF posting of this species.

This would be a fantastic flight shot no matter what species of duck, but the fact that it's a drake blue-wing teal makes it that much better! Perfect flight pose!

great action David! Awesome to see the wings like that.
I could see a little colour shift working here, with a little bit more magenta and yellow. It looks a tad green/cyan :)
