Taken a few years ago .. hoping to see some again this winter.  It took a fairly large crop to get this in your face look.

Wonderful image! Some would wish to see the entire owl (sounds as if you have the pixels) but I think this crop emphasizes the face. From here, it looks as if the white below the face is over-sharpened or ?

Great close-in and dramatic view of the Great Gray, Malcolm. I like the way it is cropped revealing the fanned tail and head for this in-your-face presentation. Although, I would speculate the full view is just as nice. Those killer eyes make it. Excellent.

I like the crop and the impact is excellent, wow, the intense look of those zoomed in eyes make this image including the fanned tail.

Nicely done Malcom! I think it could benefit from a little brightness added to the face.
