Unusual image and very effective capturing the organized chaos of these birds just before roosting fo the night. The red sky makes this image .

I really like the moment you captured this -- revealing the dark mass towards the center. Another amazing image of this unique behavior against a striking red sky. Well done!

Many thanks for the kind comments.
I have been observing this annual event for many years and have yet to see a starling fall from the sky due to a mid air collision .
