 Tundra Bean Goose Anser serrirostris

Geese are quite rare in Hong Kong, although we have been getting more reports of geese in recent years.On Tuesday 31 Oct 2017, a flock of four (4) Tundra Bean Geese arrived at Mai Po Nature Reserve (MPNR), Hong Kong. I was fortunate to witness their arrival that morning. They fly well over 4,500 km all the way from Siberia to escape the freezing winter there.
