Ron - yes, the bee is toast. Reminded me of fighter jets for the short time it took the phoebe to snag the bee.
The D-850 is superb at shots like this - quick AF and excellent burst (finally). This was about the 5th of 12 burst shots and most of the others missed the bee.

Awesome Sandy!! I have a ton of Say's shots over the years, and lots of them with prey, but nothing like this cool action shot.
Well timed and great that the camera locked on. Very nice
