Since I'm posting for the first time in years, I pulled up an all-time favorite from a south Texas workshop in 2012, with Alan Murphy and Greg Downing. You may note the absence of the classic AM perch in this one - this was just a spot to one side of the water hole, which had fallen into late-afternoon shadow. I had to really lean and turn the lens to capture this when I saw the bird land. Got off one shot before he took off.
