I like this image a lot David, the detail is exceptional with great eye contact and such a sweet background.

Must say that Sigma got it right with this lens and it works well with the D800.

thanks all for your time.

Just to say Rob, I've grown quite fond of this lens. There is a bit of work to get the best out of it, and have found it's best to treat it as a 600 all the time. When it's right, and the user hasn't screwed up, (that's me....): it'll do the job very nicely. I am looking forward to sticking it on a D850, but expect to have to up the shutter by a 1/3rd of a stop...

Very nice shot of this little puff ball David. I like the outward gazing pose and the nice feather details in this one. Cool perch and a nice mottled Bg round this one off really well. Maybe a little off the top. Well done

Lovely portrait of this little fellow. If possible, a little more of the branch below him would balance the image.
An 850 will astound you - then add a well-calibrated (IMPERATIVE) Sigma 150-600 and, like me, you won't believe the abilities.
