Photo taken at Laguna Seca  Ranch in South Texas October 28, 2017.

Nikon D810, 300mm lens, 1.4 TC, 1/320 sec at f/8.0, ISO 80.

Watching people photograph Raptors at eye-level at the ranch, they had to lay on the floor of the blind while trying to hold their cameras in place.  It didn't take very long before their necks and backs were aching.  To solve this problem, I built a below ground blind at the Raptor area.  Now people can sit in a chair and photograph Raptors at eye level in comfort.  Hopefully people will like it.

This is an excellent example of eye level photography. You did a very good thing by allowing people to be comfortable while shooting at eye level. All the blinds/hides that I visited in Africa were dug underground and offered an eye level view. Great job.

Great eye-level shot, with good head turn and raised foot. I look forward to trying out the blind in a week or so. As you suggest, lying prone with a big lens is not friendly to my aging back.

Great low camera angle, Gene. The new blind sounds excellent for this type of shooting. The image is beautiful.

Laguna Seca is wonderful - we will be there again in about March.
Excellent Caracara image - tack-sharp, nice pose, and complimentary BG. I might try to clone out that one grass thru the body.
Well-done!
