golden-crowned kinglet (Regulus satrapa)
Sometimes they eat pine seeds!!!

Local park - Mississauga, Ontario

Nikon D500, 300mm f4 PF + X1.4TC
1/350, f/5.6, ISO800, hand held, no flash

One of the best images of this species I have seen. Great detail and setting. The seed is a bonus. Perhaps a little tight, but I like it.

I love the habitat in this scene – the image looks very natural. Also, beautiful plumage detail and wonderful seed in the beak.
