Although the NatureScapes posting guidelines allow it, I prefer the vast majority of my wild bird images without the human element included. This image is so unique, however, I wanted to share it nonetheless. No flashes or traps were used. Just natural light at 10 frames per second. Please click on the image to view it uncompressed and full size. Thank you. Nikon D500, Nikkor 500mm + 1.7x, f/6.7 @ 1/2500, ISO 3200, Gitzo Tripod, Wimberley II Head. Noise reduction in PS CS6.

Great moment captured, beautiful image, Ron. The inclusion of the nest box to anchors the image.

Yes please click on this image to see how tack sharp it is a excellent details, nice work Ron.

I have used the same combo and was pleased with the TC 1.7 on the new 500 f/4 with the D500 body, with the big card, it goes off like machine gun. Perfect combo for a shot like this.

Overall a very nice incoming capture Ron, and with prey.
Great details and BG. Well done
Have you ever tried Neat image noise reduction software?
It's a plugin for PS. Way better than PS noise reduction.
