Short-eared owl

Shot last February. I am not sure what this season brings. The field where these owls hunt has been shredded to pieces by county. It is getting ready for a flood, county is removing the dike...maybe next year or year after. Really sad to loose this field.

1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/2500, ISO-400, f/2.8 handheld.

Sad indeed! I had a great fields for harriers,and they were destroyed,and I never could relocate them!
