Short-eared owl with habitat

Shot last February. Short-Eared Owl season is about to start here.
In this shot it shows the habitat were these awesome creatures like to hunt for voles.
1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/2000, ISO-1000, f/2.8 handheld.

It' good for you that they are around.
We used to have them here in big numbers winter time but they disappeared for some reason a couple years ago.
Nice habitat shot, Ludo.

Lovely capture and nice to see the habitat they hunt in Ludo! Good pose with the raised wings - a head turn would make this just about perfect.
