This guy was a pretty curious fellow (assuming he is "he").  As I lay flat on my stomach in the wet, green algae, this plover came right up to me - made a couple of passes while giving me the "eye" and started to roost not more than a few feet away.  Another soon joined him, along with a dunlin.  Pretty cool (but maybe that was the lake water in my shorts).

Your low angle shot are amazing, Leigh. I can no longer go that low only kneeling or sitting.

Thanks for sharing a great story, the only way to shoot these guys. My problem is once I get down I can't get back up:).

An excellent image in every way.

Congrats,

Rob

This is a beauty Leigh!

Nice story - although the combination of shorts and lake water in October doesn't sound  like too great an idea to me. :)
