I don't normally photograph that many birds, but I did get a chance to photograph this evening roost spot for about 300 birds. This is in Massachusetts. I like how the shadow of the first Egret is showing up on the wing of the bird on the left. This was a small wetland, so prime roosting spots were disputed over each night.
D3S, 600mm, ISO 400, F8 @ 1/800th sec. (under exposed for the whites) |
