Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas September 9, 2017.
Nikon D810, 300mm lens, 1.4 TC, 1/1600 sec at f/8.0, ISO 640. Caracaras and Turkey Vultures are at times friendly with each other. Occasionally, a Caracara will preen a Turkey Vulture and vice versa. The Caracara on the left is a juvenile and the Caracara on the right is fully grown. Based on the size of the Turkey Vulture, my guess is that it is also a juvenile. Better detail if you click on the image. |
