Rob, This is excellent! There's lots of interest throughout the image. Really like the details. Was this taken with auto-ISO?

No I rarely use auto ISO, this was taken at ISO-125 on a very bright afternoon. I always shoot in manual except for the other day at an air show then I used aperture priority.

Thanks for your kind words.

Rob

The ruffled feathers make this one special – it's original and unique!

Great pose with the raised wings, ruffled feathers and such an intense stare, and what a lovely view of those fur boots!

Fantastic behaviour capture Rob!

Wow, what a shot. My dream owl. These owls don't live nearby here. I have to go to other side of the mountains to find them, maybe this winter I will give it a shot.
